Q: What would you tell young women who are just starting to work? What would you like them to know?
A: Be your biggest advocate, even when it scares you. Apply for the job that you don’t think you’re qualified for, ask for that raise you know you deserve, understand your weakness, and do everything you can to work on it, and keep clear records of your accomplishments. And, while you’re on your growth journey, don’t forget to raise others while you climb. Create and support safe workspaces, share knowledge and opportunities, and encourage people to bring their whole selves to work. We really do rise by lifting others.

Q: How does Simatree empower you as a woman to be successful in your role?
A: Simatree recognizes that I am so much more than the version of myself I choose to bring to work. I am a mother, a sister, a daughter, and a friend. Many times, these other aspects of who I am create situations that require workplace flexibility to balance it all. Simatree consistently offers its employees trust and autonomy to perform their job duties and contribute to the company’s success in a way that manages both the company’s high expectations and the employee’s personal needs – win-win!
