For the next two months, we will be highlighting a few of the amazing women of Simatree. Across a variety of roles, the goal of this series is to showcase the different skill sets critical to Simatree’s (and our clients!) success. Plus, it will give you a little insight into who these women are outside of work!  Learn more about our first featured team member, Sophie Griffiths, below.

Sophie is a Data Scientist at Simatree who focuses on helping clients better understand their business by using analytics, data visualization, and data transformation. She enjoys using data to provide real time business insights at an executive level and has applied these skills to a variety of industries including finance, audit, and sports. She is a Tableau Certified Data Analyst and holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Notre Dame.

Q: What do you think sets Simatree apart from other companies:

A: Simatree is comprised of people who are the best at what they do and being in that environment inspires me to continue to improve. I have learned so much from my coworkers and continue to be impressed by all that they do.

Something else that sets Simatree apart is the fact that everyone here genuinely cares about their coworkers and is willing to do whatever they can to support each other. It is amazing to work somewhere that you know you can reach out to any number of people if you need advice, help, or just someone to chat with!

Q: How does Simatree empower you as a woman to be successful in your role?

A: I really enjoy the community of women at Simatree and how we support each other. I have had many conversations with my coworkers about their experiences being a woman in business and how we can continue to be there for one another. Having coworkers who can relate to those feelings and experiences has really helped me feel comfortable at Simatree.

I also enjoy having so many examples of strong, intelligent women to look up to. It is empowering to have women in leadership and who are experts at what they do to be able to learn from and go to for any advice. Being someplace that has so many examples of successful women gives me strength to feel confident in the work that I do.
